Aujourd'hui la perception de la qualité d'un repas est de plus en plus globale car elle touche tous les aspects, du champ à l'assiette, de la biodiversité au changement climatique… Le défi posé par une restauration plus respectueuse de notre environnement remet en question nos comportements et habitudes. Plus que jamais, le dialogue entre tous les acteurs est indispensable pour atteindre l'objectif d'une restauration durable. La table ronde se déroulera sous forme de témoignages et d'échanges avec les participants et le public. elle se poursuivra en fin de journée autour d'un buffet bio et produits locaux auquel sont conviés tous les participants.

The SoftAgri project has been valuable in allowing the people from the eight organisations to meet each other, eat together, and visit inspiring examples of sustainable food and farming in five, diverse European countries. We learned about the different ways the concept of sustainability is understood and used in the participating countries, and these new insights helped us to rethink our own ideas and develop new ways to promote sustainability. This short report cannot describe fully the quality of the network of relationships that have been developed by the Softagri project over the two years, but a lively network has been created via googlegroups, which allows people to continue to exchange information between meetings and, now, once the project has ended. Already some initiatives have been developed for new projects and other ways to exchange knowledge and experiences.

La diète méditerranéenne


La diète méditerranéenne est un ensemble de savoir-faire, connaissances, pratiques et traditions qui vont du paysage à la table, y compris les cultures, la récolte ou la moisson, la pêche, la conservation, la transformation, la préparation et, en particulier, la consommation d'aliments. La diète méditerranéenne se caractérise par un modèle nutritionnel qui est demeuré constant dans le temps et l'espace et dont les principaux ingrédients sont l'huile d'olive, les céréales, les fruits et légumes frais ou séchés, une proportion limitée de poisson, produits laitiers et viande, et de nombreux condiments et épices, le tout accompagné de vin ou d'infusions, toujours dans le respect des croyances de chaque communauté. Mais la diète (du grec ''diaita'' ou mode de vie) méditerranéenne recouvre beaucoup plus que la seule nourriture. Elle favorise les contacts sociaux, les repas collectifs étant la clé de voûte des coutumes sociales et des événements festifs.

Depuis 2008, des citoyens et des citoyennes de la Méditerranée se sont engagés à participer à l'émergence d'une communauté méditerranéenne des peuples. Pour ce faire, ils ont inauguré le processus de construction d'une Assemblée des Citoyens et Citoyennes de la Méditerranée. Ils ont d'abord élaboré une charte constitutive.

Fair Trade USA dal 1 gennaio 2012 non è più socia di Fairtrade International, l'organizzazione che definisce gli standard internazionali per la certificazione dei prodotti Fairtrade, di cui anche Fairtrade Italia è parte. Fair Trade Usa ha deciso, inoltre, di sviluppare un suo sistema di certificazione dal nome "Fair Trade For All" con un nuovo marchio e aprire - ad esempio - questa nuovo accreditamento alle grandi organizzazioni produttrici di caffè. Non solo, quindi, alle cooperative di piccoli produttori, la priorità per il sistema Fairtrade nel caso del caffè e di tanti altri prodotti. Fairtrade International, i suoi membri (dalle organizzazioni che promuovono il Fairtrade nei propri territori nazionali alle organizzazioni di produttori, socie anch'esse i Fairtrade International), ma anche le organizzazioni storiche di commercio equo, sono davvero sconcertati per la strada intrapresa da Fair Trade USA. Fairtrade International, insieme a Fairtrade Canada e ad altri partner, sta già lavorando per far sì che questa scelta non ricada nei produttori del Sud del Mondo, ovvero che continuino a trovare uno sbocco commerciale ai loro prodotti nel mercato americano sotto la certificazione Fairtrade. Non solo il marchio Fairtrade è l'unica garanzia esterna che assicura per le materie prime un prezzo minimo garantito e stabile, indipendente dalle fluttuazioni di mercato, e un margine pagato ai produttori da investire in progetti sociali, sanitari e di business development attraverso un programma partecipativo e democratico.
