new educational approaches on sustainable food production and consumption

SOFTAGRI : to support the growth and awareness of ethically traded and ecological products through building information bridges between producer and consumer communities.
Main objectives:
- to exchange knowledge and experiences regarding the development of sustainable agriculture and producer-consumer relations. Such knowledge and experiences will be further used;
- to create a network of complementary expertises in the field of sustainable agriculture in order to allow the project to become a reference to whoever is interested to know more about sustainable agriculture and products;
- to clear the priorities of sustainable agriculture and to summarize the main features that producers must integrate and consumers must expect from a sustainable management system of farming. Such priorities must be clear either for producers, either for consumers.
Partners openings:
- to establish a good-working relationship with organisations sharing the same kind of interest to reinforce the quality of the network and to get visibility and increase the professionalism of all workers working in the cooperatives;
- to share and gather knowledge, experiences and best practices on the newly defined field of sustainable farming, local products marketing and product development issues, to create larger markets and a better support from customers for sustainable agricultural products;
- to build an alternative food system based on open, fair and co-operative relationships as well as linking rural and urban communities and promoting the principles of sustainable agriculture and development;
- to teach to other European organisations the social relevance of sustainable farming and export own model in other territories with particular social troubles due to illegality
